Vermont Mesothelioma Victims Center Has Endorsed Attorney Erik Karst of Karst von Oiste to Ensure a Navy Veteran with Mesothelioma in Vermont Receives the Best Possible Compensation-Why Settle for Less

"The Vermont Mesothelioma Victims Center has endorsed attorney Erik Karst of the law firm of Karst von Oiste to ensure the best compensation results for a Navy Veteran with mesothelioma in Vermont.”

— Vermont Mesothelioma Victims Center

BURLINGTON, VERMONT, USA, July 1, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Vermont Mesothelioma Victims Center has endorsed, and they recommend attorney Erik Karst the founding partner at the law firm of Karst von Oiste to ensure a Navy Veteran or person with mesothelioma in Vermont receives the best possible financial compensation results. Erik and his amazing colleagues at the law firm of Karst von Oiste have been assisting Navy Veterans and people with mesothelioma for decades and they have produced over a billion dollars in compensation results for their very valued clients nationwide. Before a Navy Veteran or person in Vermont with mesothelioma hires a lawyer to assist with their compensation please call attorney Erik Karst of the law firm of Karst von Oiste at 800-714-0303. www.karstvonoiste.com/

The Vermont Mesothelioma Victims Center is extremely concerned 2020 will go down as one of the worst years for mesothelioma compensation because mesothelioma and the Coronavirus have such similar symptoms. They fear that many Navy Veterans and people who had mesothelioma were misdiagnosed with the Coronavirus rather than mesothelioma. Without a proper diagnosis of mesothelioma-financial compensation is next to impossible. "If you know your loved one had extreme exposure to asbestos, and he is now in the hospital with pneumonia-please tell the doctors who are treating him about the asbestos exposure. The average person with mesothelioma in the US is about 72 years old as we would be happy to discuss at 800-714-0303." https://Vermont.MesotheliomaVictimsCenter.Com

The Vermont Mesothelioma Victims Center’s initiative is available to people with mesothelioma in Burlington, South Burlington, Rutland, Barre, Montpelier or anywhere in Vermont. http://Vermont.MesotheliomaVictimsCenter.Com

For the best possible treatment options in Vermont we strongly recommend the following heath care facility with the offer to help a diagnosed victim, or their family get to the right physicians at this hospital.
* University of Vermont Medical Canter: https://www.uvmhealth.org/medcenter/pages/departments-and-programs/cancer-center.aspx

High risk occupations for asbestos exposure in Vermont include the US Navy, asbestos miners, power plant workers, public utility workers, paper mill workers, plumbers, electricians, welders, machinists, mechanics, boiler technicians, and construction workers. https://Vermont.MesotheliomaVictimsCenter.Com

According to the CDC the states indicated with the highest incidence of mesothelioma include Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Louisiana, Washington, and Oregon. www.karstvonoiste.com/

Healing Arizona Veterans raising $1.2 million to treat 100 brain injured war veterans

Private donors who wish to help these veterans can do so by donating vehicles and or cash.

Healing Arizona Veterans raising $1.2 million to treat 100 brain injured war veterans

TUCSON
Goal:
Healing Arizona Veterans (HAV) has the goal of raising $1.2 million to sponsor the treatment of 100 veterans suffering from war related brain injuries. Private donors who wish to help these veterans can do so by donating vehicles and or cash.
HAV sponsors the treatment of military veterans suffering from wartime Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and PTSD. The treatment utilizes Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and adjunctive therapies at private facilities. It costs between $8,000 and $12,000 (depending on the severity of the injuries) to provide this life changing treatment for each veteran. There are approximately 13,000 veterans suffering from TBI in Arizona.

Achievements:
Since its establishment in 2017, HAV has raised over $170,000 in private donations. These donations provided treatment for eleven war injured veterans, utilizing HBOT and adjunctive therapies.
Some veterans have completed the treatment and others need additional sessions. The veterans are from various branches of the military and various theaters of deployment: Six served in the Army, three in the Marine Corp and two in the Navy – including a Navy SEAL. Nine of the veterans had served in the current Middle Eastern conflicts and two in the first Gulf war. There are other veterans waiting to be treated, with new potential patients requesting treatment weekly.

About HAV:
HAV was established as a 501c3 charity in 2017. It sponsors the treatment of veterans at two private locations, NorthStar HBOT in Tucson, and HBOT of Arizona in Phoenix. All HAV Board members and staff are volunteers. As such, 98% of all donations are used for treatment.

About HBOT:
HBOT has been shown to be an effective, non-medicinal alternative, both abroad and selectively in the U.S. It is not yet offered as a Veterans Administration benefit. During treatment, patients breathe pure oxygen in a chamber where pressure is 1.5 to 2.2 times normal level. This rejuvenates cells and increases stem cell production that promotes healing. Treat Now, a veterans’ support group, estimates there are 4,200 veterans who have already been treated using HBOT. Arizona passed legislation in 2018 in support of HBOT for TBI and PTSD. It was the fifth State to do so. Three others have joined since then for a total of eight States.

The Diversity Movement Licenses IDC's Industry-Recognized Diversity Certification System

Donald Thompson, CEO of The Diversity Movement

The licensing partnership creates a powerful blend of online education and research-based strategies to deliver better business outcomes

RALEIGH, NC, USA, June 30, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Society for Diversity Inc. is excited to announce a licensing partnership with The Diversity Movement, an innovative North Carolina-based Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Training and Digital Communications enterprise. The collaboration is a part of the Society for Diversity's overall strategy to leverage the intellectual property of the Institute for Diversity Certification (IDC)® and impart formal knowledge in a growing field.

Since the global Black Lives Matter protests, more employers are challenged to design meaningful interventions to eliminate racism, inequity, and bias in hiring, compensation, management, and promotions. Leah Smiley, President of the Society for Diversity says, "This level of culture change requires inclusive excellence to go beyond the Office of Diversity so that it's fully integrated with other corporate functions, such as marketing, product development, and the supply chain, to name a few. Simultaneously, organizations must ensure that traditional employee groups don't experience reverse discrimination. This is what IDC's diversity certification program is designed to do: develop more leaders who are equipped to create opportunities for everyone, while minimizing organizational risks associated with managing diversity well. This is also why a licensing partnership with The Diversity Movement is so valuable. They provide these services, and more, under one roof."

IDC designed its rigorous certification system to serve as a standard for inclusive excellence and to distinguish professional achievement in the field. As the number one global credentialing program for equity and inclusion, IDC has thousands of certification candidates and designees in 46+ U.S. states and 15 other countries. The diversity certification process is designed for all types of employees, from C-Suite executives and supervisors to human resources and diversity champions. IDC's process consists of a standardized test and a peer review of a work-related project to ensure that employees have both the knowledge and skill to lead culture change in the workplace. Through IDC, the Society for Diversity owns the Intellectual Property for the Certified Diversity Professional (CDP)® and Certified Diversity Executive (CDE)® designations. It also owns the federal copyrights and trademarks for both the CDP® and CDE® through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, as well as several state trademarks. The company is in the process of completing its accreditation process with the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Additionally, IDC is a current member of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence.

The Diversity Movement will be the exclusive provider of the CDP® and CDE® credentials in the State of North Carolina. Donald Thompson, CEO of The Diversity Movement, says, "Achieving culture change is not an automatic process. It takes knowledge, skills, abilities, and intentional strategies. Through education and certification, our work will help companies foster a community of inclusion. Further, our advanced market insight into different identity groups and new behaviors will provide more value for the companies who participate in this program." In fact, the Diversity Movement's entire executive leadership team has achieved the CDE® credential. The executive certification is an important component of challenging the status quo in management practices, as well as demonstrating the value of inclusion in corporate growth strategies. IDC's certification program specifically focuses on the triple bottom line advantage from diversity interventions, which is a shift from traditional notions of equity and inclusion. Thompson adds, "Moving the needle forward indicates that the nature of diversity work has changed. Every day we must continually discover new ways to serve customers better and develop the type of organizational culture where current and prospective employees want to be."

The Diversity Movement is a subsidiary of Walk West, a full-service digital-first agency. The Diversity Movement offers a comprehensive set of online courses, videos, podcasts, events and consulting offerings to both equip individuals with the cultural readiness to thrive in a global market and empower organizations endeavoring to embed D&I into the core of doing business. In addition, The Diversity Movement enables Walk West to add diversity education and training to its expansive list of capabilities. In 2018 and 2019, Inc. Magazine ranked the firm as the fastest-growing agency in North Carolina via the annual Inc. 5000 recognition.

To build the foundation for its D&I certification offerings, The Diversity Movement launched Diversity: Beyond The Checkbox – an online, self-guided course to help organizations build foundational D&I competence to generate business value. The Diversity Movement continues to expand its network of partnerships and suite of offerings including diversity gamification platforms, virtual privilege walks, CEO consultations and Chief Diversity Office buildout.

Skyworks Global Appoints Director of Business Development for South America

Skyworks Hawk on patrol at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics

Seasoned International Transportation and Aviation Executive and Former Military Officer Joins Skyworks Team

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, U.S.A., June 30, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Skyworks Global Inc. (“Skyworks”), the global leader in gyronautics, announced that Dr. Marcelo Augusto de Felippes has joined the organization as Director of Business Development for South America. Dr. Felippes brings many years of international experience in transportation, logistics and aviation and will be based in Brasilia, Brazil.

Previously, Dr. Felippes was the CEO of Airship do Brasil, a premier manufacturer of aircraft using lighter than air technology in Latin America. Dr. Felippes also serves as CEO of Logistics International Associates (LIA), Special Adviser to the Secretary General of the Inter-American Chamber of Transportation (CIT), and has previously worked as a management consultant for major events including the 2011 Military World Games in Rio de Janeiro.

A retired Colonel in the Brazilian Army, Dr. Felippes spent much of his life working as a transportation, logistics, and aviation specialist, working on projects including administrative management of supplies, air transportation, flight equipment and special aviation services. Throughout his career Dr. Felippes has written an array of books, patents and technical articles that have been published in journals and periodicals throughout Europe and the Americas. He speaks English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, as well as some Russian, German and Italian.

Skyworks Executive Director, Brig. General (Ret) John E. Michel stated “We are thrilled to have someone of Dr. Felippe’s stature, experience and connections join our team.”

The initial focus in South America will be to introduce Skyworks’ Hawk 5 aircraft. The Hawk 5 combines the safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness of fixed wing aircraft with the runway independence of a helicopter. Utilizing an engine-driven pre-rotation system while the aircraft is on the ground, the Hawk 5 is capable of jump take-offs, allowing take-off from almost anywhere. With a rotor that is always in autorotation, in the unlikely event of complete engine failure, the Hawk 5’s rotor continues to rotate, leaving the pilot in complete control to safely land. With no powered rotor in flight and no antitorque equipment, the Hawk 5 has none of the periodic maintenance or lost business days associated with these systems, leaving the owner with lower costs and higher reliability. Coupled with the flying simplicity of fixed wing aircraft, the Hawk 5 is a workhorse.

Dr. Felippes stated that “The current Covid-19 related damage done to economies globally is constraining both government and private sector budgets, making it difficult to afford the high operating costs associated with helicopters. The introduction of Skyworks’ economical gyroplanes, like the Hawk 5, is particularly timely.”

About Skyworks

Skyworks Global is the world leader in gyronautics, the study and design of sustained autorotative flight represented by the company's gyroplane technology. Skyworks has more than 40 patents with several more underway, all obtained in an effort to radically change not only the way gyroplanes are perceived, but also the way they are utilized. From mass personnel transportation, agriculture, and border protection to literally changing the economies of developing nations, Skyworks' goal is to change the paradigm of aerial technology. Why independent testing of anti-virus software is important – a blogpost by AV-Comparatives

AV-Comparatives - an ISO certified independent antivirus testing lab

AV-Comparatives – an ISO certified independent antivirus testing lab

If you’ve ever considered doing your own tests of antivirus programs, you might be surprised to find that it’s much, much more difficult than you think.

You need a unbiased source of reliable information. AV-test labs like AV-Comparatives have years of experience, plus the facilities and test methods to deliver meaningful results you can trust.”

— Peter Stelzhammer, AV-Comparatives, CBDO and co-founder

INNSBRUCK, TIROL, AUSTRIA, June 29, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ — Have you ever been curious as to how good your antivirus program is at protecting your computers and servers? How it scores in an real av-test? If you’ve ever considered doing your own tests of antivirus programs, you might be surprised to find that it’s much, much more difficult than you think.

Here’s why:

There are literally millions of cyberthreats out there, so testing only against a few will not have any statistical validity. You need a threat-set that represents all the different types of threats(viruses, worms, ransomware, 0-days, exploits, trojans, backdoors, botnets and so on), AND you need to be sure that these are genuinely malicious and life on the internet.

Even if you had thousands of relevant cyberthreats, how would you test them? Well, you could scan them with an AV program installed on your own computer, or use an online scanning service. However, neither method lets you test against a large number of threats with multiple AV programs simultaneously.

There’s another, very important disadvantage to both. The on-demand scanning feature of a modern antivirus program is just one of many ways it can protect your computer. If in real life you try to browse to a cyberthreat, your security program checks the URL to see if it’s on a blacklist; uses file reputation services; unpacks the file to see through any obfuscation techniques; employs heuristics and machine learning to detect new malware programs; and monitor its behaviour in real time when you execute it, to see if it does anything suspicious.

If you look at AV-Comparatives Real-World Protection Test, you can see a perfect example, testing all the techniques an anti-virus software offers.

Professional labs have the resources to use large amounts of relevant malware, and test all the security features of multiple antivirus programs simultaneously, with equal conditions for all the tested products. They can also investigate usability of the tested products, that is whether they create a lot of false alarms or slow your computer down in daily use
.
Some of the test labs even undergo strict audits by ISO, to prove that they are independent. This ensures that they understand the interests of security vendors whilst remaining impartial and unaffected by commercial lobbying organisations. Independent av-test labs also work with universities on scientific research, which means that their test methodologies are state of the art.

Now, are you sure you want to rely on the results of DIY testing to protect your computer? Or do you prefer to rely on the results of an independent testing lab?
