US Authorizes Potential Sale of Spare Parts, Equipment to Ukraine
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency estimated the deal’s value at $185 million. “Ukraine has an urgent need to strengthen local sustainment capabilities to maintain high operational rates for U.S.-provided vehicles and weapon systems,” the agency said in a statement.
It added that the spare parts are expected to enhance battlefield performance by increasing operational readiness, improving logistics, and reducing costs through a faster and more resilient repair cycle.
